The low-voltage railcar (KPD) uses rail power to power its operation. The workshop’s 380V voltage is stepped down to 36V via a transformer and connected to the insulated rails via wires, energizing the rails. The rail wheels are insulated to ensure the car body is non-conductive. Power is drawn from the rails via a power-collecting slider and supplied to the car’s motor. Controlled by a remote, the car can move forward and backward, and can also run on curved rails. Depending on the power supply method, the car is available in two-phase and three-phase power supply versions. Two-phase power supply is suitable for smaller vehicles (under 50 tons) with two rails laid on the ground. The trolley operates by drawing power from a step-down slider. The trolley motor is a DC motor, and the three-phase low-voltage rails require three tracks. Suitable for heavy-duty trolleys, the voltage is initially 380V, then stepped down to 36V by a transformer. The trolley then draws power from the slider and connects to its built-in step-up transformer to convert the 36V to 380V for the AC motor. Due to voltage drop during track conduction, a transformer is added every 50 meters to compensate for this. Advantages: The trolley can operate 24/7 and is highly flexible.
